Reduced Fee Membership Policy
Members who meet one of the following criteria can apply for a reduction in annual membership dues:

UNEMPLOYED, LOOKING FOR WORK – Member is currently unemployed and is available and searching for work in governance or as a corporate secretary.

FINANCIAL HARDSHIP – Member’s household is under significant economic hardship (significant unexpected medical/dental expenses, loss of partner income, etc.).
The Procedure:
To apply, members must complete the Application for Reduced Membership Fees and return the form to the National Office.
If the member meets the criteria, fees will be charged according to member category and discounted by 50%.
Conditions:
UNEMPLOYED, LOOKING FOR WORK – Unemployed Status may be granted for a maximum of three years per individual. Continued eligibility will be reviewed annually as part of the annual renewal process.
FINANCIAL HARDSHIP – Financial Hardship Status may be granted for a maximum of three years per individual. Continued eligibility will be reviewed annually as part of the annual renewal process.
Conditions:
Chartered members (ACG, FCG) who pay reduced fees are expected to meet annual CPD requirements.
Members who pay reduced fees retain full member benefits. Members can continue to use their CGI and CGIC post-nominals while paying the reduced rate.
