The 2020 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of The Chartered Governance Institute (The Institute) will be held virtually at 08:00 hrs GMT (18:00 AEST) on Monday, 14 December 2020.

The Institute’s Council has been monitoring the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Having regard to social distancing requirements and in the interests of the health and safety of our members and staff, the Council has decided that this year’s AGM will be held as a virtual event. This approach is in line with temporary modifications to the law and current regulatory guidance in a range of countries.

This year, the Institute will conduct its first virtual only AGM, giving you the opportunity to participate online, using your smartphone, tablet, or computer. If you participate online you will be able to view a live webcast of the meeting, ask questions online, and submit your votes in real time.

To do this, you will need to visit the Institute’s meeting set up on the Lumi Global website that you will be able to access on the day of the meeting here. When joining the live meeting, you will be prompted to enter your credentials:

If you would like to appoint a proxy, you can download a proxy form here. To be valid, this form must be received by the National Office of the Canada Division (info@charteredgovernanceinstitute.ca) no later than 1:00 pm EST on Thursday 10 December, 2020. The National Office will ensure the proxies are received by the CGI Secretary in London, UK.
