Speaker: Shona McGlashan, FCG, Vice-President of Governance & Corporate Secretary at Vancity Credit Union.

Session: Global pandemic, remote working, fires and floods – all of us are being tested by the events of 2020 and 2021. Recent surveys show that more than 80% of Canadians believe their mental health has worsened due to Covid-19, and a similar proportion of senior leaders finish work each day feeling mentally and physically exhausted. So it’s critically important that organizational leaders have the tools to support their own mental wellbeing as well as that of their teams.

In this session, Shona McGlashan, VP Governance and executive lead for Vancity Credit Union’s mental health strategy will outline:

  • Why everyone needs to pay attention to their mental health.
  • The mental health continuum and how to build your own mental wellness toolkit.
  • What you can do as a leader to reduce stigma, provide resources, and have empathetic conversations about mental health.

Register now for this session and gain valuable insights from Vancity’s executive lead on mental health strategy, Shona McGlashan, FCG.
