CGIC Call for Subject Matter Experts
The Chartered Governance Institute (CGI) of Canada is looking for Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to support the delivery of CGIC’s International Qualifying Program (IQP).
We are also looking for individuals who are interested in serving on the Subject Advisory Committee (SAC) and Assessment Review Panel (ARP). These Committees oversee the examination process to ensure that it is meeting or exceeding the standard set by the International Professional Standards Committee. This would involve ensuring exams are set at the required rigour and are marked according to the required standards. The committees require subject matter experts in the following areas:
- Corporate Governance
- Company Law
- Company Compliance and Administration
- Interpreting Financial and Accounting Information
- Risk Management
- Development of Strategy
- Boardroom Dynamics
All the work is currently being done via email and video conferences. If a face-to-face meeting was to take place, travel, food, and accommodation expenses would be covered.
These roles provide members with an opportunity to give back to your professional organization
while also earning hours towards your continuing professional development requirement.
If you are interested or would like more information, please contact David Miriguay, CGI of Canada’s
Director of Education at david@cgoifcanada.ca or at 613‐595‐1151.
