
Ingrid Stefancic, FCG, Acc.Dir.
Ingrid Stefancic joined LOGISTEC in 1997 as its first in-house counsel, reporting directly to the President and CEO. Over time, she built up the legal department, which is composed of herself, a Senior Legal Counsel, a Legal Counsel, and a Legal Assistant. She is also the company’s Compliance Officer, Privacy Officer, and Disclosure Coordinator. She oversees compliance with regulatory requirements as a publicly-traded company, manages and oversees mergers and acquisitions, contract and lease negotiations with suppliers, clients, and port authorities, all insurance matters, intellectual property, litigation files, and current operating issues. Ingrid is the Secretary of LOGISTEC Corporation, as well as all its subsidiaries.
Prior to joining LOGISTEC, Ingrid was in private practice as a business law lawyer for 10 years with two major law firms. She was also a professor at the Quebec Bar School, in the Business Law Section, for four years and published over 30 articles. She was an active member of the community while sitting on boards for various hospitals and educational institutions.
Ingrid is a graduate of Laval University where she earned a Civil Law degree and was called to the Quebec Bar in 1986. She is also a Fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute (“CGI”), an international organization focused on corporate governance. She sits on the board of its Canadian division and is the President on its Executive Committee. In 2019, she received the Canadian Division’s CGI Distinguished Professional Service Award for her outstanding leadership, contribution, and dedication to the profession of Chartered Secretary.
