
Kim S. Chua, FCMA, MBCOM, FCG, Acc. Dir.
Kim S. Chua has over 25 years of experience as a financial and governance executive, working in the non-profit, financial services, construction and oil and gas servicing industries. Trained in London, UK, he is a Fellow of the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CIMA/CGMA) and Chartered Governance Professional (CGIC). He is currently the Director of Business and Finance for the Calgary Women’s Emergency Shelter.
Kim has served in a senior executive role for over 20 years, previously working as the CFO for Greg Martineau Projects while concurrently working as CFO for Renoworks Software from 2014 to 2016. Prior to this, Kim worked as CFO for the Carolina Homes Group of Companies for 8 years.
Kim is Managing Director for Fedwell Foods and Alphanutri Foods, companies that he helped establish in 2014 and 2016 respectively; with the corporate offices based in Singapore and the manufacturing plant in Myanmar. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Alpha Private Charitable Foundation, a position which he has held the past 20 years since helping to establish it in 2000.
Professionally, Kim was Vice President for the Canadian Division of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK (CIMA/CGMA) for 7 years as well as CIMA’s Alberta Representative. He serves on the Board of CGIC Alberta since 2013 and was appointed as Chair of the Alberta Board and Canadian National Director of the CGIC in 2016. He currently serves as Vice President on the Executive Committee of CGIC. He is also a Professional Administrator in Canada and Commissioner of Oaths in Alberta.
