Kim S. Chua, FCMA, MBCOM, FCG, Acc.Dir.

Kim S Chua has over 25 years of experience as a financial and governance executive in the non-profit, financial services, construction, and oil and gas servicing industries. Trained in London, UK, he is a Fellow of the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CIMA/CGMA) and Chartered Governance Professional (CGIC). He is the Chief Financial Officer for FEAR IS NOT LOVE SOCIETY (formerly The Calgary Women’s Emergency Shelter).

Kim has served in a senior executive role for over 20 years, previously as CFO for Greg Martineau Projects and concurrently as CFO for Renoworks Software. Before this, Kim was CFO for the Carolina Homes Group of Companies.

Kim’s leadership extends beyond his professional roles. He is the managing director for Fedwell Foods and Alphanutri Foods, companies he co-founded in 2014 and 2016. These companies, with corporate offices in Singapore and a manufacturing plant in Myanmar, are a testament to his entrepreneurial spirit. Additionally, he has been a driving force as a Board of Directors member for Alpha Private Charitable Foundation, a position he has held for the past 24 years since its establishment in 2000.

Professionally, Kim was Vice President for the Canadian Division of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK (CIMA/CGMA) for seven years and CIMA’s Alberta Representative. He served on the Board of CGIC Alberta since 2013 and was appointed Chair of the Alberta Board and Canadian National Director of CGIC in 2016. He currently serves as President of the Executive Committee of CGIC. He is also a Professional Administrator in Canada and Commissioner of Oaths in Alberta.
