
Marla Eichenbaum, BCL, FCG
Marla Eichenbaum served as Vice-president, General Counsel and Secretary of Stella-Jones Inc. for 25 years, from 1998-2025, seeing the company grow from a small Canadian-based four plant manufacturing business to a thriving 45+ plant network of facilities spanning North-America. Marla is a high integrity professional with strong legal, corporate, governance and employee relations background with a proven ability to succinctly articulate and simply communicate complex issues. She is known for being in a constant learning, growth and contributing mode.
Marla has extensive experience advising the C-suite executives, Boards of directors, Board Committees and senior executive teams on a variety of matters including securities compliance, corporate governance, timely and continuous disclosure and ethical matters. She was responsible for assisting in the development of a high standard of Corporate Governance throughout Stella-Jones, developing company-wide policies on business conduct and ethics, whistleblowing, related party-transactions and minimum shareholding guidelines, to name a few.
She was member of Stella-Jones’ Cybersecurity Committee, its Indigenous People’s Committee and Business Continuity Crisis team.
Marla is a member of the Quebec Bar and a fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute. She has served as a member of the Chartered Governance Institute of Canada’s Governance Committee since 2024 and has served, since 2024, as a member of the Governance Committee of Les Maisons Kehilla, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to safe and affordable housing in the greater Montreal area.
She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Concordia University and a Bachelor of Civil and Common Law (B.C.L. / L.L.B) from McGill University.
